Looking for an awesome crankbait for smallies, well checkout the Berkley Flicker Shad. The color that seems to produce results for my is the purple tiger. I also picked up the rainbow spectrum color, that looks like a great color as well. This is a lure that can be fished in 11-13 feet deep of water. But, if you fish it slow, you can pick up largemouth Bass in 5-7 feet deep of water. I did research around the web and went on some fishing forums, it’s obvious that I’m not the only one catching fish with the Berkley Flicker Shad, fishermen are picking up walleyes, musky and big northern pike with the crankbait. So check it out when you get a chance, I picked mine up at Lakeside Fishing Shop in Michigan.

Weekend again I’m looking forward to the big game…and also catching some big fish.Speaking of which, I’m going to reveal some killer tips you can use to Catch Bass… and these work on both largemouths and smallmouths.
The “wacky” method below is my absolute favorite because it works like gangbusters almost anywhere.By the way, if you’ve gotten anything (at all) from these Friday Bass catching tips, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!Check this out: Largemouth Bass Tips You won’t believe your eyes when you see how these guys became the most respected bass Fishing “legends” in and around their cities and small towns…And you won’t believe the size of the bass that end up on your line when you use things like:
* A “dead sticking” strategy John uses with his #1 bait that provokes attacks from stingy bass! (This presentation triggers aggression from a different area of a bass’ brain… and he uses it when all else fails.)
* The old school “sneak retrieve” secret for maximizing any bait’s bass catching power… every moment it’s in the water. (This will squeeze dozens of extra strikes out of your day — and it’s easy to do!)
* A wicked Hawaiian sea bass lure that releases unique sounds to trigger involuntary strikes!(The sounds are created using”quick-shot water displacement”, and they hit the “all out attack” button in a bass’ brain.)(IMPORTANT NOTE: if you use the smallest model, it works just as well for freshwater bass.)
 * …and hundreds more! Everything you need to bang the bass till you’re blue in the face is here in one nifty big package…Warning: some of this stuff could make your knees a little “weak”, but all of it can work to trigger big strikes from the big boys… and blast your Catch count through the roof! Now…let’s get on with your tips for this week…

I’m just curious to know your go to lure for Largemouth Bass (LMB) for these conditions:
Bank fishing
85 degrees
Less than 10 feet deep
Clear, open water.
My go to bait has to be a Carolina rigged purple or black Craw imitation made by Zoom. It always seems to pull in the fish. Although buzzbaits are always fun.
Happy fishing!
Forgot to mention that it would be at a small golf course pond.

I just moved to Bradenton Fl and wanted to know what is the best bait to use for fishing in the local lakes this time of year. I have gone fishing a few times and haven’t had much luck.
Well, what type of fish do you want to catch?
Bass? Bluegill? Catfish?
For Bass- 5-8" live Shiners are the most popular bait for Largemouth Bass.
For Bluegill/Shellcracker/Brim- Red wigglers (earthworms), Wax Worms, Crickets & Minnows.
For Catfish- A variety of bait can and will work; old Hotdogs, old Shrimp, old Cheese soaked in cinnamon, Etc.
Are you sure your fishing in totally "fresh" water. That area has a number of brackish water creeks……

Will largemouth bass ALSO bite on the same kind of worms as well? How heavy should my line/leader be?
Nightcrawlers always work the best and yes, the bass may take a whack at them too! But normally, you use lures to catch bass with! That means standing up, casting and reeling back in to attract the bass and hopefully they’ll go for the bait (lure)! It all depends on the weather, the area you’ll go fishing at, whether or not the bass and the trout will actually be biting or what they’ll be going for (meaning they might not be hitting off of worm, but powerbait instead or salmon eggs or corn), how deep the water will be, and whether or not there will be obstacles in your way (i.e. weeds in which case you’ll need certain lures to go through them and they can be expensive too or else you’ll get snagged on them and you’ll more than likely have to break your line to get "unstuck!")! Know how deep the water depth will be by asking someone around there so this way you’ll know where to put the weight at and what kind to use!

I go fishing about every other day for largemouth bass in a lake nearby. i usually use soft bait (only ones available for me) and i was wondering whether its better for them to be big soft baits or smaller soft baits. please reply if possible.
Everyone has real good answers. It’s a good idea to downsize on the lures when the fish are off their bite or running small. But just for an experiment, one day try the larger size lures. Show them something they haven’t seen on a daily basis. You may be surprised at the results. If it doesn’t pan out, it’s still fun to try different things. I enjoy that.
