How good is Bread as fishing bait? Wont it fall off the hook?

Hi Racer, If you pull off a piece of bread about the size of your thumb nail and fold this around the hook and squeeze only around the hook,this leaves a flaky portion for the fish to go for and will attract them and it will also stay on your hook for some time. If float fishing this way I would check the bait often to make sure it is still on. If floating crust for Carp then use the crust by hooking the crust through the hook a couple of times and use a un – cut loaf with a piece of crust 30mm across as to disguise the hook as floating crust for carp on the surface is great fun as you can watch the carp come for the crust and take off. Great thrill.
