Good morning. Here’s your OBX Moment of Zen for Friday, May 18, 2012. This video was shot at the Kitty Hawk Pier at 8:30 AM. North winds are blowing! 20+ mph through the weekend. Sun and clouds. Rain later? Winds will slow early next week and temps will get back to upper 70′s. Surf is a mess with this stiff northeast wind. Lots of wind swell. Could be ok surf early next week when the wind slows and switches offshore. Fish are biting – blue fish, spot, speckled trout, black drum, sea mullet, croakers, flounder. Offshore = mahi and tuna. propably the most realistic fishing game i ever tested out. its pretty hard to catch some fish in this game as you can see. I lost some pikes and catched some bass and lost some of my lures. Every time I threw out my line I would get seaweed around my line. Then I took a break and waited for the water to calm down and then I went back to the ocean and threw my line in and I caught a yellow fin croaker. Fished Bill Baggs today for a couple of hours with my gf with nothing much going on. Here i show you my new bait setup, if you would like a whole new video on this, let me know.
