Catch more bait than you need using this trick. Black walnuts ripen in the fall and contain Juglone, a chemical that is toxic to fish and apparently earthworms too. Soaking fresh walnuts in water will create a "tea" that will drive worms out of their holes within seconds. Because it is toxic to worms, be sure to rinse them in fresh water immediately before placing into bedding. The first time I tried this, I was surprised with the results and even caught a 6 pound buffalo using one of the fresh caught worms!

This video shows the best proven baits ever made available to mankind that will catch any type of Salmon during the Spawning or regular River runs. I myself have caught hundreds using these awesome baits. Single Eggs, Glowing Marshmallows, Sponge, regular Marshmallows and Salmon Roe Bags. TIP # 1: If you combine single eggs and Marshmallows, you will increase your bites (Use size 8 hook). TIP # 2: Use dark green Fish line or any 8 pound Fluorocarbon line. TIP # 3: To catch Female Salmons try 3 egg roe bag in Red or white net. TIP # 4: To catch Male Salmons try single egg or Glowing red, pink or orange Marshmallows as these bright colors piss them off into attacking and protecting the nesting grounds .

This was one of 14 dives we did in three days spearfishing in the Gulf of Mexico. This wreck is about 40 miles off shore on the West coast of Florida, and was one of four that we hit during this trip. The visibility was only about 20 feet on this wreck but we had seen 60′ visibility out in the Middle Grounds about 100 miles off shore a couple days earlier. I only speared 3 fish on this dive as I was busy taking video of this neat wreck. My two dive buddies Nate and Art were diving this wreck also. Art was taking video of Nate spearing fish on the wreck. There were tons and tons of bait fish on this wreck and a few smalls, but not a lot of shootable sized fish. There were two Goliath Grouper on the wreck about 250-300 pounds each, and a 5′ Barracuda. The video Art took on this dive would be interesting to see and mesh the two divers perspectives together on the same wreck – same dive – same time. There is a neat ambush at the end of Arts video (that took place near the end of the dive) after I had quit taking video.

Good afternoon. Here’s the Outer Banks, Beach, Surf, & Fishing Report for Friday, September, 23, 2011. This video was shot at Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head at 11:00 AM. Finn and I made our way to Jennette’s Pier this morning to catch not one, but two OBX surf contests taking place; the amerature ESA finals to the north of the pier, and the Outer Banks Pro to the south of the pier. Luckily, the rain that has been in the forecast has held off, and we have a great day with sun, temps in the 80′s and water temps around 73 degrees. We should have rain on and off throughout the weekend, but hopefully the sun sticks around. The swell has dropped a bit today, so the waves are on the small side; about waist high with some chest high sets coming through. The swell will be building back up as the day goes on, and tomorrow looks like great conditions for the contests with waves in the chest high range. Even better, next Tuesday looks like it could be great with clean waves in the head high range…keep your fingers crossed. OBX fishing is going strong. Tight lines all around. Offshore is catching black and yellow fin tuna, dolphin, and some bill fish. The piers, bridges, surf, and Sound are consistent with a wide variety of fish – blues, stripers, spot, croakers, pompano, black drum, some red drum, sheeps head, Spanish Mackerel. Great time to on the beach…and catching fish…or waves! Hope to see you soon. Have fun! Seaside Vacations OuterBanksVacations.com
