In this video I check out the annual Take ‘Em Fishing event in La Crosse. Over 150 kids get fishing poles, bait and tackle for a morning of fishing along the Mississippi River. I had SO much fun!!!!

Well we’ve moved into Summer now and that’s the time I tend to give the Carp fishing a rest. I didn’t take the video camera on the last couple of carping outings so this is just a way to let you know how my Spring ended. Happy with the 34 Common and I’ll be back on that lake at the end of the Summer once the crowds have moved on to finish the year off.

E and I were out fishing and along comes a gator. E puts on his special lure and up jumps the gator. Long story short, I did a terrible job filming because I’m a chicken, that has never been this close to an uncaged gator before so I screw up the camera for a minute, but refocus just in time to catch a look at the gator pop out of the water and release the bait. FYI my lure was stuck in that plastic that was all around the lake, so I was trying to free it up before the gator was to come ashore. When the gator came up, it released the lure so the bait and hook flew back and hit E right in the chest. It was almost like the gator was playing tug of war with E and as E was pulling, the gator let go at the last second, sending the lure into E’s chest makin him stumble back a few feet.

You need: blender/mixer/pan(chip pan is best)/weighting scales(ones for food)/boilie rolling table, drying rack. Ingredients needed: eggs/ground bait or dog food/flavouring and colouring,(you can also add things like spam, crushed up pellets, tuna, sweet corn or anything to that affect). For every 1-2 eggs add 126 grams of dog biscuit/ground bait and 10ml of colouring/flavouring. Steps: 1. (This is your dry mix) If you are using dog biscuit then blend it up – then put it in to a bowl- if you are using ground bait then just put it straight into a bowl and add any other dry mix to this, leave this and get yourself another bowl 2. (This is your wet mix) in the other bowl you have just got you need to put your eggs, colouring, flavouring and any other wet liquids you want to put in to add smell and taste . 3. You can use a mixer or your hands, add the wet mix into the dry mix bit by bit until the mix is wet and doughy. 4. Then leave on the side for 2-3 min’s to dry off a little. 5. Now you can use a boilie rolling table or by hand roll them into ball of whatever size you are wanting. 6. Then put them on the side for 2-3 min’s to dry off again 7. Fill your pan with water and boil. 8. Put your boilies in the water and leave them for 2-3 min’s to boil they will normally will start to float when done. (But don’t worry they will sink once in your lake. 9. Now put them on some sort of drying rack where air can hit them from all sides, leave for 24 hours to about 72. Sometime you <b>…</b>
