Sometimes wild trout is not difficult to catch if you’ve got the right bait. I use the type of commercial bait available at most stores, the ones that you make into balls. I am not a sponsored fisherman, so I dare not even mention them, but you can probably guess. I mold them to look like cocoons and I catch rainbow trout and brown trout within seconds. I noticed that even with the same bait, the strike time is slower if I mold the bait like balls. Roll them up horizontal, long and shaped like caterpillars and you will improve your strike. Trout will get confused. Your bait would look like a bag of fish eggs. And trout will strike in a matter of seconds.
